London Here I Come!

So I am leaving for London on Tuesday! I am extremely excited and starting to get a tad bit nervous. I always get nervous about leaving home even though I've been doing it for 2 years. But this time next week... well actually I will probably be asleep, but I'll be asleep in London!

Decisions, Decisions

I have been contemplating this for some time now (as in about three days) and I think I have come to a decision...
I think I will buy yellow Vans for my summer fashion enjoyment.
Now I was feeling pretty good about this decision until I was thrown for a loop... there are two different shades of yellow Vans. So many decisions to make!
So what do you think?

Lemon Drop?

Or Citrus?

Or do you not like either of them?

Mind you, I don't spend all my time thinking about what color Vans I want. But I gotta do something to at least temporarily relieve myself of the stress of these last couple weeks of school! I sincerely hope that you already know I'm not that shallow.

Stolen Photos

Here are some pictures from the Nickerson family vacation! I stole them from my cousin Noah's facebook... I don't think he'll mind.

The whole fam damily

Cousins. I was the lucky one that got to hold baby Clare. It's my right as the oldest.

This is how a good portion of our time was spent. Just playing a little family cribbage. Little hint: Burke rocks at cribbage. He got a 24 point hand when we were playing Simon and Wyatt (I think). Yeah, we skunked 'em. Moral of story, try and get Burke on your team.

This kind of makes my heart melt. So cute :)

Man, I love my family!

(Forced?) Family Fun!

That is what my dad likes to call a family vacation, forced family fun. But there was nothing forced about all our fun this weekend. We had a family reunion for my dad's side of the family in Texas. It was awesome! It was a weekend filled with good company, fun, and lots of cribbage! It was so fun to all be together. We also got to see my cute baby cousin Clare get blessed.
We got to stay in an awesome hotel complete with an indoor water park. Talk about fun!

The Great Wolf Lodge in all its glory.

Yeah, it's as awesome as it looks.

The Tornado!

We love cribbage!

A weekend vacation was exactly what I needed. It was so nice to get away from school and to see my amazing family! Hopefully I'll get some pictures soon to put up. Thanks again Gram!

P.S. Have you ever seen War of the Buttons? I'm watching it right. It reminds me of my childhood and watching it with my family. Love it!

Obssessed

I have a new obsession. Longboarding. I have only been once, and technically I only went around the block (it took me like 10 minutes though) but it was so fun!

So if you get the urge to buy me a present and spend lots of money on me... I would not be opposed to getting a longboard.

I Love to See the Temple

Today I had the chance to go to the Draper Temple open house. We had to leave at 8 am to get there by 8:40 when our ward was supposed to go through. It was rough getting up but so worth it!
It was absolutely beautiful! I had this feeling of peace and awe as I walked through the different rooms. When we finished I wanted to turn around and go through again. I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to go through the open house!

What's in a Name

I think that I should explain the name of my blog. The significance of the name didn't actually hit me until after I started my blog.
Originally I planned on calling it "London Living" because I started it so I could keep my family updated on my Study Abroad in London. But I was too excited to wait until September to start using my blog so I changed the name to "Living and Loving Life." At first I thought this was a pretty generic name but when I thought about it more I came to a realization.
Often I feel like I am just living life. I'm just trying to get through and I'm not enjoying the journey. I also have the tendency to look towards the future a little too much. I'm realizing how sad it is to live your life just wishing for the future. So the name of this blog, "Living and Loving Life," is basically my goal, to enjoy life as it happens.
